It all began one summer when I was five.  I wanted more than just the joy of applying colors within the lines that coloring books offer; I wanted to make my own drawing.  I remember, clear as day, the picture of the bird that inspired me  to make my own drawing.  When I told my niece she said that it was impossible.  Her discouraging words made me more determined than ever, so I create my first piece of art on the spot.  Then I kept going…
